About Jeff Campbell

Jeff Campbell is a father first and a blogger second. He currently runs over 9 websites and 3 YouTube channels and helps over 500,000 people each and every month through his content.

My name is Jeff Campbell.  I’m in my 50’s and live in Wimberley, TX (outside of Austin).

I’ve lived all over the country but we moved to Austin when I was 10, so I more or less consider that home, but I’ve also lived on both coasts and in the deep south.

I am have 3 daughters, 2 of which are in their teenage years, and the other is a toddler.

My marriage and divorce

I got married (the first time) in 1985 when I was very young.

Arguably I still don’t have all of life’s answers, but I sure didn’t when I married my first wife. In fact, I didn’t have a clue, and our marriage ended in 1994 almost 9 years after we said: “I do”.

Luckily we didn’t have any kids and remain on friendly-ish terms today.

My 2nd marriage, to the person I thought was my soulmate, happened in 2006, so I had plenty of time after my 1st marriage ended to figure out how to be a good husband (or so you would think).

We had a lot of ups and downs, and both made a lot of mistakes. But for me, at least, the love was very special and was worth the trying times. We also made 3 amazing kids along the way.

Unfortunately in April of 2021, my wife announced she wanted a divorce after almost 15 years of marriage.

It came as a total shock to me, as did her announcement that she’d felt this way for a couple of years and never thought to mention it. CLICK HERE to read our story on my original website.

In retrospect, I can see where I abandoned my masculine core and became needy and insecure over the course of our marriage; unattractive qualities to be sure.

I also became complacent and took her and our marriage for granted.

I wasn’t a bad husband 99% of the time, but I can see how my actions, along with life choices she made and some traumatic events that happened to our family all contributed to her falling out of love with me.

I’ve learned a lot since her announcement and ironically have become a much better, healthier, and mentally and physically stronger person as a result. My only wish is that it hadn’t taken the sacrifice of my marriage to have heard the wake-up call.

My goals for this website

In preparing for my divorce, seeing the impact on my kids, and how stressful the situation has been for all 5 of us, I decided to start a website to help other parents, both men, and women, navigate through the process of divorce for the betterment of themselves and their kids.

So as I have Googled questions or consulted with experts and lawyers, I’ve tried to pass on what I’ve learned and am learning in the articles on my site.

How I make my living

I began blogging in August of 2016 and went full-time doing that in September of 2020. I have 9 websites as of right now on a wide variety of topics that interest me.

I am a contributor to Bublup, and among my many contributions, you can check out The Biggest Ways Starting a Family Changes Your Life.

In addition, I’ve been quoted by dozens of blogs and websites, from the Washington Post, Patheos, and Up Journey.

I was also interviewed on the Hack Your Wealth podcast, and on the Income School YouTube channel, which you can see here if you want to know more about blogging and how I make that my full-time income!
